National Scholastic Art Award Winner

Miller South eighth grader Nyesha Kelley received national recognition for her photograph in the Scholastic Art Awards. Kelley, who took the photograph last year in Art History class, received a Silver Medal for her work. She was inspired by the photographer Dorthea Lange, who is known for photographing people in their daily routines. She posed her younger brother for the photo, which is called "See Me".
