7th grader at Miller South, won 1st Place in the City of Akron 30th Annual Holocaust Arts and Writing Contest. The theme of the Akron's annual Holocaust Contest was, "Lessons in the Holocaust: The Lives of the Children," All 1st Place winners won a trip to the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum in Washington, D.C.

Other big winners from Miller South were Emery Fleischer, 2nd Place, Athena Hughes, 3rd Place and Emma Gibson, 4th Place. Honorable Mentions were awarded to Sydney Stevenson, Piper Kozlowski, Jovana Djuric, Kaedence Kish, Elena Varner Waltz, Stella Hudson, Alison Zupancic, Ethan Koehler, Natalie Carter, Eleanor Smith, Andra Benninghoff, and Katie Morehouse.
