The Northeast Ohio Genius Project, sponsored by Arts in Stark, is a 9-week challenge that touches on multiple academic standards including math, science, art, and financial literacy, inspiring creative thinking, team building and problem-solving skills for middle school students. Students receive a mystery box and have 9 weeks to complete a challenge and create a project. This year's culminating event, the Genius Rally, was held week 10, April 12th, at the Great Court of the Cultural Center for the Arts in Canton, Ohio, where coaches, teachers, students and their parents gathered to celebrate the projects and work of the students. Of the 50 schools in attendance 3 were from APS and Miller South students brought home the trophy for Outstanding Arts Piece. Congratulations Miller South and to all who participated!
