Principal's Message for the Week of Mat 5th

Our OST window has closed and I am happy to announce that we had 100% of our students take each test assigned to them!!! We are so proud of our students for the hard work that they put in during OSTs. Thank you to each of our families who made sure that their child attended school and supported our efforts to ensure they had the best testing environment possible.

A message from the PTA. This week is Teacher Appreciation Week. A great way to acknowledge someone is with a sincere, "thank you." It costs nothing to give but can mean the world to receive. PTA encourages every student, every day this week, to thank at least one staff member who has made a difference to you in your time at Miller South.
Field Day is Wednesday, the 29th of May. For more information, and to help please visit.

Spring Dance Concert
The Miller South Dance Department will perform their Spring Dance Concert "EXPRESSIONS" on Friday, May 10th at 7:00PM. $10 pre-sale tickets are available now online! Get your tickets; you don't want to miss this celebration of the ARTS! General admission at the door is $12 (cash only).

As we enter the last 18 days of the school year, we expect students to continue to follow our PBIS expectations and be safe, respectful, and responsible. Unfortunately, we have several students who are struggling with being responsible and have not been in their assigned class at the assigned time. Mrs. Appleby has addressed these students individually and has contacted the families of these students. We ask that all families encourage the students to follow oru expectations so we can end the year positively.

As the temperature continues to rise and the building is warm, this is just a reminder that students need to wear appropriate clothing to school. Please check your child’s clothing before they leave the house. If you are unsure if what they are wearing is appropriate, please have them pack a change of clothes.

All APS Chromebooks will be collected at the end of the school year. We have noticed that students are writing/drawing on their Chromebooks and could be charged for this as it damages the Chromebook. Please be advised that the administration has no say in fines issued by our technology department. They issue fines based on the damage to the Chromebook assigned to each student. The best way to avoid a fine is to take care of your Chromebook and not loan it to another student.

Please continue to monitor your student’s home access center until the end of the year to keep them on track academically. Please see the calendar of events in the all-call email for events taking place this week. I hope you have a great evening and we’ll see everyone back tomorrow.
