Principal's Message for the Week of May 12th
8th-grade recognition will be on Tuesday, May 28, 2024, at 9:00 AM. Family and friends are welcome to celebrate our students. Additional information will be sent to 8th-grade families soon.
We will be collecting all Chromebooks before the end of the school year. We will begin collecting them on Tuesday, May 28. Please make sure your child has their Chromebook and chargers available to turn in that week. More details will be provided before the 28th.

A message from the PTA - Field day will be held on Wednesday, May 29. The field day sign-up is more than two-thirds full. Thank you to everyone who has signed up! We really need more help in the afternoon. Please sign up at the link. Those volunteering all day will be provided lunch.
PTA is running a flash sale on the neon sign design shirts and hoodies. If you missed the sale in March, please visit the link. This store will close tomorrow, May 13.
The final PTA meeting of the school year will be on Monday, May 13 at 6 pm, online only. We will be wrapping up the year and electing officers for next year.
The art department is having a Chipotle fundraiser on May 13th at the Highland Square location from 4-8 PM. All proceeds will help next year's 8th graders go to Pittsburgh to see the art museums. You MUST have this flyer or use the code HDKBG67 when ordering online.
The Firestone Cluster Showcase is Monday, May 20th from 5-8 PM. A list of students with art on display can be found here.
8th Grade Art Students' final Gallery of Miller South will be on May 22nd at 3:15 in the Gallery. We ask that all 8th-grade art students attend if possible, with their immediate families.
Self Love Art Show- Mrs. Rich's 8th-grade painting students have been working on projects that express how people can have a high regard for self-care, well-being, and happiness. Reception for students is at The Wellness Den in Cuyahoga Falls on Saturday, May 18th from 1-2 PM. More information and a list of students involved can be found here.
The Band Department would like to invite everyone out for the Miller South Spring Band Concert this Wednesday, May 15th with a student arrival time of 6:30 pm, beginning at 7:00 pm. The concert is free and open to all. Please come hear and support these amazing students and the music they have prepared! Families, please see the specific details sent home from Mrs. Hughes about the Concert including extra school rehearsals and the School Assembly performance the following morning on Thursday, May 16th.
Any students in the 6th-8th grade interested in jazz band, please remember sign ups are currently active so be sure be practicing the music and sign up for an audition on May 23rd.
In addition to the Spring Band Concert, please Save the Date for the upcoming Steelband and Jazz Band Cabaret Night, on Wednesday, May 22nd at 6:00 pm at Summit Artspace!
