Principal's Message for the Week of March 4th
The Miller South Theater Department invites you out to see their production of The Lion King Jr. this Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. The performance begins at 7:00 each night and there is a matinee on Saturday at 2:30. Please come out and support the amazing work of so many of our students as the production includes work by almost 200 Miller South students.
The Miller South Jazz Band would like to invite you to their upcoming Performance at Blu Jazz on Wednesday, March 6th at 7:00 pm. Doors Open at 6:00 pm and tickets are $10 purchased online or at the door. This is a special performance opportunity in partnership with the Kent State Educational Series. Hope to see you there!
Save the date. We will have our first Arts Integration Night on Thursday, March 21, 2024. We know how talented our students are when performing, but they are also incredibly talented in the classroom. Come out and experience the variety of ways that art is integrated into students’ academic classrooms to provide a well-rounded arts education.
Congratulations to our Superintendent Book Club of the Month readers this week. Our gift card winners were Shelby in 7th grade for the week of 2/19 and Alice in 4th grade last week. Keep encouraging your children to read! We will draw a gift card winner each week.
Our Esports team will have a spirit week this week and will be selling baked goods before school for $1. The themes are Monday - Favorite console color, Tuesday - Bowser Lives Matter, Wednesday - Dress like your favorite character, and Thursday - rock, paper, scissors day ($1 to participate).
The main office is accepting donations. If you have any clothing items for boys or girls that could be donated to the main office that would be greatly appreciated.
The end of marking period 3 is Friday, March 15th. Please check your child’s HAC to ensure that students complete and turn in their assignments on time.
