Principal's Message for the Week of March 3rd

 

​The Miller South Dance Honors will take part in National Dance-A-Difference Week, a celebration of dance-based service and volunteerism. In support of this initiative, they will be collecting donations for "Dance Fairies," an organization that helps aspiring dancers in need. Any student who donates $1 on Friday, March 7th, will be permitted to wear PAJAMAS to school!  

Please help the Dance Honors members work towards their service goals.


Each morning during morning meeting, we go over our building-wide expectations (be safe, respectful, and responsible). This past week, we have had several instances of students not being where they are supposed to be, which is unsafe. Teachers have also had items taken from their classrooms. Please discuss the importance of following expectations our expectations with students so that we can continue to have a safe and respectful environment.

A message from the PTA: The spring fundraiser ends on Monday.  Please turn in all order sheets with payment Monday morning.  Online sales continue through Monday.  If you have any questions, want to confirm your student's Dave & Buster's field trip status, please email MillerSouthPTA@Gmail.com.

PTA will be hosting a wellness fair on March 26, 5-7pm.  Please see this flyer for additional details.

Thank you to everyone who sent in Acme receipts.  We met our goal and earned more community cashback than last year!

We will be holding our 2nd annual Arts Integration Night on Wednesday, March 26 from 4:30 - 6:00 PM. You have had the opportunity to see the students’ amazing artwork and performances on stage, but come check out how they also shine in the classroom. Teachers and students will share projects and activities that they have done in the classroom to integrate art with academics. Refreshments and door prizes will be available.
