Principal's Message for the Week of January 26th

Due to last week's calamity days, student report cards should be available in home access on Wednesday and will be mailed by the end of the week. We will also be providing students a copy of their report card indicating if they made the honor roll. This will let them know if they have earned the PTA honor roll breakfast which has been moved to February 6th and 7th.

We will be celebrating our students for their first semester achievements on Tuesday, February 4th. We will celebrate those who have earned honor roll, merit roll, excellence in the arts, and those who have improved their GPA. Unfortunately due to space, we cannot invite families to this event. 

Our Visitor Management System will begin on Monday. Anyone visiting the building and interacting with students (chaperoning field trips, volunteering, etc.) must have a valid photo ID upon entering. Visitors will scan their ID at the kiosk in the main entrance, the system will check the ID and print a visitor pass to the main office. Visitors MUST report to the main office to obtain their visitor pass. Please see the attached Raptor letter for additional information. We will follow our normal procedures for day and evening performances as well as sign-outs.

A message from the PTA: The PTA snack table is looking for help.  This is a short time commitment (about 45 minutes total) at the end of the school day.  If you are coming to pick up your student and can stay until 3:30, please consider helping.  Students love visiting the snack table after school, especially when they have clubs or rehearsals.  Please visit LINK for more information or to sign up.

Acme receipts dated through February 15 are eligible for Community Cashback.  Please keep sending in receipts.  The final collection will be on February 20.  Receipts with student names on them will be entered into a prize drawing.

With the inclement weather days last weekend, report cards are delayed and the Honour Roll Pancake Breakfast will also be delayed until February 6 and 7.  If you would like to help serve or prepare pancakes in the morning, please sign up at LINK.  We are in the process of sourcing a gluten-free breakfast alternative.  Please complete the allergy information form at LINK so we can accommodate any student allergies both for the pancake breakfast and for other PTA events with food.

Just a reminder that there is no school for students on Friday, January 31. Students will return on Monday, February 3. Please see the calendar in the email for events taking place this week. Have a great evening and we’ll see everyone tomorrow.
