Principal's Message for the Week of December 1st

Interim pick-up will be on Thursday night from 3:30 - 7:00. 

Esports has begun to livestream their practice sessions and matches. Join us live on Mondays at 3:30 to follow along with our skill development. Head to the link to watch us. Please be patient as the channel is developing and evolving from week to week. 

A message from the PTA: Pepperoni Roll orders are due Tuesday.  Extra copies of order sheets are available here: Please turn in order sheets with payment during morning meeting.

PTA is providing a soup and salad bar for the staff during interim pick-up night this Thursday.  If you would be willing to bring a crock pot of your favorite soup, please sign up here.

Congratulations to the first Acme receipts prize winner, Sophia K. in 4th grade.  Keep sending in Acme receipts with your student's name on the back to be entered into the next prize drawing.

Just a reminder that all students should have a pair of wired headphones for their school work. We noticed that many students have lost or no longer have them. This would be a great stocking stuffer!

8th graders interested in Akron School for the Arts at Firestone can sign up next week at this LINK.

The Miller South Concert Band would like to invite you to the upcoming Kenmore neighborhood's Light the Boulevard festival on Friday, December 6th. Check out the many free events throughout the evening including our own Concert Band performing a variety of  Holiday and Winter classics at the Kenmore Library from 5:00-6:00 pm. See the flyer sent home in the email for more details. 

The Miller South Art Booster Club is offering a $500 scholarship to students pursuing a degree in a field related to Visual Art. These students must have attended Miller South School for the Visual & Performing Arts for Visual Art through their eighth grade year (beginning in any year), continued with Akron School for the Arts in Visual Art at Firestone High School and graduated from that program or are intending to graduate from that program. The application is due April 1, 2025. You can find more information HERE
