Principal's Message for the Week of December 17th

This week is a short, 4-day week! Students do not have school on Friday as we begin winter break. Students will return to school on Monday, January 8, 2024.

Thursday, December 21st is the last day of the 2nd grading period. Please ensure your child has turned in all assignments before leaving for winter break. Report cards will be available in the second week of January.

The student council is sponsoring Spirit Week this week. 
Monday - Polar Express Day - Pajama Day (no blankets, no slippers)
Tuesday - Grinch vs. Who-ville - dress like the Grinch or a who from Whoville
Wednesday - Snow on the beach - dress in holiday and beach gear (no swimsuits, towels, or inflatables)
Thursday - Ugly Sweater Contest

Please remember to send in your Acme receipts for the Community Cashback program. Through the end of the year, Acme receipts earn cashback for PTA and can be placed in labeled envelopes by homeroom doors. Please write your student's name on receipts for an entry into the prize drawing.

This year's Reflections theme is "I am hopeful because..." All students are encouraged to submit an art project reflecting this theme. 

The rules and required entry form may be found here.  Please complete this form to turn in your digital submissions. Student Entry forms and physical projects (only for photography and visual arts) should be turned in to the box in the office.

Entries are due to the office/online by Monday, January 8, 2024. We encourage you to submit your project as soon as it is ready. Any project not submitted by the deadline, or submitted without a signed entry form will not be able to be entered into the program. 

The PTA will recognize every student who enters.

There will be NO PTA meeting in December. We look forward to seeing everyone at the virtual meeting in January.

Please see the calendar of events in the all-call email for events this week. I will not be sending an all-call during winter break. The next all-call will come on January 7th. I hope that you all have a safe, happy, and restful holiday season with your family and friends. I look forward to hearing about all of the students’ winter break adventures when we return on January 8th.
