Principal's Message for the Week of August 24th

 

We want to thank all of our students and families for a WONDERFUL start to the school year. The students have done a great job of following our expectations of Being Safe, Respectful, and Responsible. We appreciate you talking to your students and encouraging them to follow the building expectations. 

We will have our safety day on Thursday, August 28. This is a time when we will practice all of our drills (fire, tornado, and ALICE/lockdown) to ensure that our students know what to do to stay safe in case of an emergency.

Please make sure that you are labeling your students’ belongings (backpacks, lunch boxes, Yondr bags, water bottles, etc.). As these things become misplaced throughout the day, we want to make sure that they are returned to the appropriate student.

A message from the PTA: The PTA spirit wear sale is open now through the 8th of September, to order, please visit.  We are only running one spirit wear sale this year, so get your neon sign and glitter shirts now!

We are collecting Acme receipts for Community Cashback.  This is a great, no extra cost fundraiser for the PTA.  Last year, we raised $600 just through collecting receipts for groceries you were buying anyway.  Please save your Acme receipts starting now, write your student's name on the back, and collection envelopes will be up around the school soon.

Please make sure that you complete the returning student enrollment form.  This will ensure that phone numbers and addresses are correct for your child and will also ensure that they will be able to participate in science labs and field trips. Out of 418 students, we have only 100 completed.  Thank you to those of you who have completed the form already.  If you have any questions, please feel free to email Mrs. Shiplett.  Directions on how to complete the returning student enrollment is attached.

There will be n o school on Monday, September 1, for Labor Day.
