Steven Harris, an eighth-grader at Miller South, received a city proclamation from Council Person At-Large Eric Garrett this morning at Miller South for his dedication as a drummer at his church, St. Ashworth Temple Church of God and Christ, and for maintaining honor-roll status along with good citizenship. Steven's family including his mother and grandparents were in the audience. Council Person At-Large Eric Garrett will also present the proclamation to Steven at the February 12 Akron Public Schools Board Meeting. Council Person At-Large Eric Garrett said he would like to continue to recognize APS scholars who are serving in the community and their schools.
