Successful   THEME

The purpose of our theme is to set the stage for the experiences and opportunities we provide to our STARS at Miller South.
To celebrate the tradition of Miller South our theme for the 2022-2023 academic year will be 30 Years of Magic!!!!
While we want to continue positive thinking and all the possibilities for the new school year with our theme for the 2022-2023 school year will be:
Time to Shine!!

Focus for Student Success from the 2022-2023 year Academic: Visible Learning Strategies (clarity/targeted feedback) in the classroom to increase standard mastery in all content areas and increased experiences and opportunities for students to engage in Inquiry Based Learning (Project/Problem Based learning) for ALL students to shine like STARS! To build on positive relationships, teachers and students will work together to make sure all the educational needs of our students are met by taking time to ensure intentional feedback is given to our students.

Culture/Climate: While we plan to continue our PBIS (Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports) - to teach our students that their skills, talents and abilities require EFFORT to be successful and that we must provide equity through embracing and supporting the diversity of ALL students at Miller South. We will focus on opportunities in the classroom for students to be ENGAGED in their learning and increase APATHY by taking ownership of their learning through productive struggle while also celebrating growth and success.
