Miller South School for the Visual and Performing Arts.
MISSION STATEMENT
Miller South is a Visual & Performing Arts School where the creative and curious learn to challenge, support, and inspire each other. Our specialized and engaging learning environment allows students to be successful in both the Arts & Academics, as we empower them to use their unique skills & talents to flourish as people & professionals.

Theme:
The purpose of our theme each year is to set the stage for the experiences and opportunities we provide to our STARS at Miller South.
To celebrate the tradition of Miller South our theme for the 2022-2023 academic year will be:
30 Years of Magic!
We have some amazing performances and celebrations coming up to celebrate 30 years of Magic here at Miller South School for the Visual and Performing Arts!
Our STARS Goals:
Academic: Integrating the Arts and Academics through the use of high yield strategies and teacher clarity (intentional, positive feedback and interaction) to promote increase standard mastery across all content areas and enhance students’ experiences and opportunities by engaging in Inquiry Based Learning so ALL our students will shine like STARS!
Culture/Climate: While we plan to continue our PBIS (Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports) program, we will also teach our students that their skills, talents, efforts, growth, and abilities to be successful are appreciated and celebrated. We will always support our STARS through their learning process and we will provide equity and empathy by embracing the diversity and uniqueness of ALL students at Miller South.
